Burnett Heads is situated on the Coral Coast of Queensland, & is approximately 12 minutes East of Bundaberg. Burnett Heads has its own Yacht Marina, but is also very close to Bundaberg Port & its own Marina where ferries leave for Lady Musgrave Island, & deep sea fishing trips. Burnett Heads has its own small shopping centre, Pub & restaurants. It is also the breeding ground for giant turtles, that come up on the beach to lay their eggs, which visitors are welcome to watch. Bundaberg is famous for growing Sugar Cane which is used in the making of Bundaberg Rum & Ginger Beer. It is also the birth place of Bert Hinkler the famous aviator.
