Two Houses with Heated Pool in the Loire Valley. Paulmy, near Loches, 40 kms from Tours, in Central France 6 bedrooms in total plus a dormitory, sleeps 14 to 24 peoples.
L'Aquarelle is a large 18th century house, traditionally restored in luminous colours with charm and style.
Le Comptoir is an old café restaurant in an art deco style, spacious and warmly decorated with traditional zinc topped counters and fully equipped with professional equipment, ideal for parties or celebrations.
The houses are in a peaceful setting in the village of Paulmy close to Ligueil 6 kms away, which has a good choice of shops and facilities. Next door though, is a general grocery store where you can also get fresh baguettes daily.
The barn has a games room with a pool table and various other games and the heated pool is the focal point of the courtyard. The composition of the houses around the courtyard makes it easy to move from one to the other.
There is a traditional restaurant in the village and several other good ones within a radius of 10 kms, including an excellent Michelin star restaurant 15 kms away.

Paulmy has a tennis court, a large fishing pond and a play ground for children. People are friendly and helpful here, so anyone will tell you where everything is.There is golf course (20 kms) and riding stables 7 kms away (this is marvellous riding country).
The Touraine vineyards around Tours and some of the loveliest of the Loire châteaux at Chinon or Azay le Rideau are less than an hour's drive. The centre of Tours has many beautiful buildings, smart shops and several good restaurants. Futuroscope, the huge Science and Technology park just outside Poitiers is a great day out for both adults and children. Closer is the Château du Grand Pressigny, 7 kms from Paulmy and the lovely old town of Loches.
