Property description
Birders Vista Bed and Breakfast is located 80 miles south of Tucson, between the San Pedro River riparian area and Ramsey Canyon Nature Preserve, central to internationally recognized key birding areas.
Birders Vista is a quiet retreat at 4600 feet elevation with beautiful views of the Huachuca and Mule mountains. It is a stucco home on 4 acres, with reading library of 1500 books, cozy living room with fireplace, stereo, TV, VCR and DVD for guests.
In season, you will find fresh flowers in your room and enjoy fresh fruit from the fruit orchard on the north side of the house. Enjoy the breeze whispering in the stand of pines nestled close on the south side. Perhaps you'll catch sight of the Red-tail Hawk who favors the tallest pine.
Sit on the veranda or under the pergola in the backyard garden and enjoy the birds watching you as they come to feed. Since the last week of August, Black-chinned, Broadtail and Rufous Hummingbirds are swarming the feeders in the backyard near the butterfly and hummingbird garden. Blue Grosbeaks, Scaled and Gambel's Quail with their chicks and numerous other birds are on the property. Butterflies, moths, tortoises, and other wildlife are plentiful.
Enjoy the newest addition to our bed and breakfast - paintings and sculpture from the Huachuca Art Association by well known area artists.
The orchard north of the house is in full leaf with pears nearly ripe for picking. The trees are attracting many birds, butterflies and other insects. The catalpa and mimosa trees in front provide nice shade for the front veranda with great views from the bench looking toward the Huachuca mountains in the west.
