Property description
The Alling House Bed and Breakfast has a separate Cottage that has a fully-equipped kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, sink and stove. There is also a washer/dryer unit. It has a private bathroom with a shower. The main floor has a queen-sized bed and a small hide-a-bed couch. There is also a spiral staircase going up to the loft above the kitchen/bathroom areas that has two single beds in it. There is little headroom up there, so it is most convenient for families with children, though adults could manage as well. The cottage can comfortably sleep 5 people. The cottage has a telephone, cable TV with VCR and Internet PC with DVD player. Since there is a kitchen in the cottage, breakfast in the main house is not included, but it can be arranged at additional cost.

We are 45-75 minutes from the major Florida tourist theme parks. Daytona Beach and the Speedway are 30-40 minutes away and New Smyrna Beach is 30 minutes away. Historic downtown DeLand and its many antique shops is 5 miles away with the DeLand Airport being nearby and available for skydiving and hot air balloon rides. Blue Spring State Park and the St. John's River are 3 miles away. Many, many people come to see the manatees that spend the winter in Blue Spring. We have arrangements with many local restaurants and businesses that give our guests discounts on goods and services. We can arrange for golf outings, dinner cruises and hot air balloon rides.
