Borgo Il Melone is wonderfully located, being close to all the major rail and road connections and to all relevant central Italian art cities as Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Perugia, resting at the foot of one Tuscany's most ancient Etruscan settlements, Cortona.
The Borgo can meet the guest's most diverse requests offering superb accommodation possibilities in its recently inaugurated four star hotel “Locanda”, which boasts sophisticated deluxe rooms and suites with private bathroom with bathtub or shower, or in its spacious apartments, ranging from 80 to 250 square meters. Overall accommodation capacity is 70 guests.
The property is equipped with a large parking lot, a gorgeous 35x87,50 foot swimming pool with change rooms and Jacuzzi and a 37,50 acre parkland sprinkled with beautiful flowers and ornamental plants.
In the premises of the Residence you will also find a very nice Restaurant and Tavern which serves traditional Tuscan dishes and first-class wines. Cooking courses for our guests are available on request.
The property also includes a 70 seat meeting room and a most picturesque private chapel available for weddings.
Steeped in the uniquely beautiful Tuscan countryside and its harmony and taste where old stones and bricks make your stay in the Locanda, a newly inaugurated 4 star hotel, a memorable experience as for style and elegance and comfort and relax.
The Locanda offers 12 double rooms with private bathroom and bath-tub or shower, minibar, satellite tv, hair dryer, air conditioning, safe, phone and ISDN internet hook-up. You will find in the lobby an internet station for your use.
Having breakfast is the nicest way to start your day: here guests receive a friendly welcome and they can breathe scents and flavours of local tradition.
