'Cherrywoods' is situated in the leafy heart of the fertile Constantia Valley - arguably the best rural address in Cape Town. Exquisite Mountain and Valley views prevail. Cherrywoods is a freshly designed, character home having the authentic atmosphere of a Mediterranean villa. Rich earthy hues provide harmonious complement to the meticulously collected and restored antique fixtures and fittings. The latter include historic paneled doors, shuttered period windows, fine fabrics, elegant early furnishings, period electric and light fittings, as well as a character antique French wood stove (resembling a colourful “mini-Aga”) to cosy up the back of the house.
The living space consists of some 400 square metres, all on one level. With the emphasis on a luxurious but casual life-style. Verdant garden views prevail throughout. Notable are the spectacular vistas of Table Mountain, through the tree canopies, apparent from the sitting room and the three double bedrooms.
The reception areas consist of an intriguing high ceiling entrance hall, separate reception foyer, spacious lounge and dining room. The lounge includes a beautiful large fireplace and mini-bar cupboard, TV, comfortable furniture as well as a separate table and chairs. The dining room is situated directly adjacent to an open-air courtyard and country-style kitchen. A feature is the colourful French wood stove.
The kitchen is spacious with plenty of oak cupboard space, modern appliances and garden views. Attached is a laundry room. The kitchen is open plan to the dining room and may be screened off if required.
Sleeping accommodation comprises two large sunny double bedrooms, one of which opens onto a shaded patio, a twin-bedded room, as well as two pretty single bedrooms. The main bedroom includes a spectacular draped Victorian brass semi-tester bed, with spacious single bedroom and bathroom adjacent. The other two double bedrooms are twin-bedded. The larger bedroom has two beautiful large antique-gilt European brass beds, with the second containing two simpler Victorian brass beds ('king-size' configuration can be arranged for both latter bedrooms). The single bedrooms may include either bunk beds(for youngsters) or a single teak Arts-and-Crafts single bed as standard.
If so desired, the residence may also be split into two separate units. Each unit may sleep up to four persons, with the reception room and other amenities being shared.

'Cherrywoods' itself has a private walled garden within the estate, and includes a tranquil swimming pool and barbeque area. Additional facilities available, beyond the private wall, include a sauna and delightful rose & woodland-fringed croquet lawn.
Children are welcome, provided parents take responsibility for their safety and prevention of damages (No ball games are allowed to avoid possible damage of glass features).
A caterer is available to provide pre-made meals, dinner parties, cocktail parties & picnics.
