Georgetown, a small fishing village is the capital of Kings County and has an abundance of history and architectural heritage for you to explore. Georgetown has a number of buildings of significant historical value, the courthouse, churches, and playhouse theatre to name a few and are all within walking distance of the Inn. We are located one block from Georgetown Harbour , which is a deep-water harbour, its principal use is for lobster fishing and recreational boating. It is one of the finest sheltered harbours on the East Coast of Canada and an excellent harbour for water sports.
The Eastern side of PEI is the area of choice for those that prefer the peace and quiet of an unhurried lifestyle, the beautiful scenery of red dirt roads the spectacular white sand beaches and of course the lusious greens of our championship golf courses all can be seen as you wind along the coastline of eastern PEI. The Confederation Trail one block from the Inn runs from Georgetown Harbour to Cardigan and the Fish Hatchery or into Montaque making the Georgetown Inn an ideal base for cyclists and hikers.
With a predominantly Scottish heritage, local Ceilidhs offer traditional music and dance. The Georgetown King's Playhouse features local and professional talent, and operates from early July to the end of August.
