The Inn is situated on over 5 acres with English gardens and natural woods, and guests can stroll down a private lane to the Bay.
A bountiful multi-course gourmet breakfast, as delicious as it is beautiful, is served each morning on English Chintz china, with sterling silver tableware and delicate imported linens. Our extensive award-winning menu includes fresh eggs from the Inn's Plymouth Rock hens and home grown fruits, vegetables and herbs from the Inn's gardens.
Each guest room, with private bath, is themed after some special place in England and is comfortably furnished with antiques and delightful genuine English memorablia.
We offer comfortable common space for guests to enjoy, including a delightful loft-style game room with cribbage, backgammon, chess, darts, puzzles and television. We also provide access to the internet.

Searsport is 2 hours north of Portland, via I-295, and approximately 1 hour south of Bar Harbor.
Searsport, on beautiful Penobscot Bay, is the "Antique Capital of Maine" and offers several extensive roadside flea markets and wonderful antique shops to explore. The Penobscot Marine Museum, located in the heart of town, is a seafaring village of multiple buildings housing galleries, ship models, nautical instuments, etc. We have wonderful local restaurants with a variety of cuisines, and you'll find fresh seafood everywhere!
Nearby Belfast is a delightful harbor town with shops, art festivals, galleries, restaurants and sailing/boating.
Less than an hour's drive south is Camden Village and Rockland, home of the world famous Lobster Festival.
A little over an hour's drive north is Mount Desert Island, home to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Schoodic Point, a lesser known part of Acadia National Park located across the bay from the more famous Park, offers fabulous vistas of wide open ocean.
On the beautiful Blue Hill Peninsula you can explore some gorgeous seaside fishing villages and harbor towns, eat fresh caught lobster, and visit ecclectic and whimsical galleries. Castine Village is home to the Maine Maritime Academy.
State Parks, blueberry barrens, nature preserves, hiking trails, natural lakes, etc. provide exquisite views year round, and are ablaze with color in the fall!
Along the mid-Coast you will be able to enjoy sailing, boating, skiing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, bicycling, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, down hill skiing and snowmobiling.
The Canadian province of New Brunswick can be reached in about 2 hours drive from Searsport, along the gorgeous "Airline Highway" to St. Stephens, NB, and on to the Bay of Fundy.
