Property description
Jacob's Resting Place was built in 1790 on land purchased in 1751 from the William Penn Land Grant. The structure is a classic five bay brick Georgian design with original floors, doors, window sashes, woodwork, and seven fireplaces. It was a colonial inn, named The Sign of the Green Tree, until 1835.
Colonial in design, Jacob's Resting Place retains its original architechual treatments. Beset with period antiques and historical displays, each room reflects a unique period of history. The grounds include a large inground pool and patio, nicely appointed with lounges, tables and umbrellas, a furnished pool house, large terraced patio with tables, colonial and cottage gardens and a classic limestone trout stream on three acres.
Three rooms have a sitting room with fireplace, bedchamber and large bath with whirlpool tub. All rooms have private bath and wireless DSL.
