Rio Bay Guesthouse is a private guesthouse (bed & breakfast) located in a charming villa in the bay of Guanabara, a central, historical and residential neighbourhood which is considered as one of the safest and most peaceful places of Rio.
As long time travellers we have a good feeling of what is needed to make a place special, with character, giving you the feeling of being at home...
We open our house for independent travellers who want to experience a different kind of accomodation, appreciate hotel comfort and service combined with a personal touch, are interested to get in contact with the local people, discover the Brazilian culture and get local insight into the city (instead of being stuck in the typical touristic circuit), take part in the Brazilian lifestyle and meet and share experiences with other travellers.
At Rio Bay Guesthouse we make a point of helping our guests experience what we love so much about this unique city, giving them all kinds of advice and recommendations about how to make the most of their stay in Rio and help our guests avoid the mass tourism circuit.
We look forward to welcome you in our house, a place to relax and feel at home after visiting Rio's highlights, practicing Rio's many outdoor activities or enjoying the city life and world famous beaches.

Rio Bay Guesthouse is excellently situated between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches and the city centre, and at walking distance from the beach. When you step out of our door to the waterfront, you will enjoy breath taking views over the City, the Christ statue and the Sugar Loaf. The sunsets from the bay esplanade are exceptional!
