The Chalfonte, Cape May's enduring Historic Site in the National Historic Landmark City, celebrates her 129th anniversary in 2005. Victorian Cape May's beloved Chalfonte was built in 1876, by Colonel Henry Sawyer, and since that time she has defied conventional definitions of "hotel."
The Chalfonte is located just three blocks from the beautiful Cape May beaches, white and expansive. The Hotel is single, couple, group and family-friendly, and features 70 rooms, some with private baths and others with shared baths on the hall. It's part of the unique culture and community of the Chalfonte that provide you with accommodations with history, traditions and value. The Chalfonte is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.
