Along the eastern boundary of this national park, Yellowstone, is the beginning of America's first and one of the last great wilderness areas. The Shoshone Region, runs along the 53-mile-long Wapiti Valley which bridges the gap between the park and Cody, Wyoming. Green Creek Lodge is located half between the East gate to Yellowstone, and Cody.
