Property description
Located just minutes from the popular Font Romeu ski station, this beautiful 18th Century farm house has been converted to offer high quality bed & breakfast and self catering accommodation and is accredited by the Gites de France organisation (3 Epis).
Surrounded by mountains close to 3,000 metres high as well as lakes and forest, this area of the Languedoc-Roussillon offers you not only a multitude of outdoors activities but also a rich mix of history, culture, traditions and cuisine. You can enjoy the downhill or cross country ski stations in and around Font Romeu and Les Angles, hiking or mountain biking in the surrounding Pyrenees mountains, bouldering in the Chaos of Targasonne, horse riding or hang gliding from the peaks behind Targasonne. Or visit the natural Roman baths in Dorres or the historic walled city of Mont-Louis. Or just admire the view from Cal Barbe and wait for dinner :)
Our Bed & Breakfast clients can choose between three comfortable en-suite bedrooms, enjoy the open fire in our living room, make new friends and share experiences around the dining table or relax in our large garden. Since we have just three letting rooms, we can assure you of a personal service.
Our self catering accommodation guests will enjoy a typical Cerdagne cottage, where the farmer would have lived centuries ago, with wooden floors and beamed ceilings. Here also you will be able to enjoy winter evenings around an open fire place and summers in the garden.
We will be more than happy to advise you on, or help you organise, activities in the Font Romeu or Pyrenees Orientales area.

Yellow Train
Mountain bike: 12 circuits for all levels of difficulty with 152 Km in Pyrénées 2000 and with 3 links to Capcir, Cambre d'Aze and Font-Romeu. Pyrénées 2000 also offers 1 route downhill and a trial circuit. 5 circuits also leave from Font-Romeu. More information in www.ffc.fr
Hiking: Lakes, panoramas, forests, glaciers, fortifications, sommets, valleys, gorges... Several hiking circuits in the area following the GR's (Grand Randonnées)

Snow-racquets: Several initiation circuits marked, some of them dedicated to a specific theme (forts, glaciers...) from 1 to 4 hours long and of free entrance. Posibility to book guides tours and group courses
Hot baths: You can enjoy hot water baths in Llo, Dorres and Saint Thomas, also being beneficial against different pains.
Swimming pools: You can choose from the ones in Targasonne (covered and climatized, less than 1 minute away from Cal Barbe), Bourg-Madame, Err, Font-Romeu, Les Angles and Puigcerdá.
