Kontoyiannis House is a quiet traditional holiday house in Kalavasos village centrally located for whole of Island ideal for a great self catering family holiday or just to get away from it all and relax
Kalavassos is a lovely village, caring and hospitable to all its visitors. Kontoyiannis house is a very large family house with secluded courtyard. Can be let as four large apartments or villa. Centrally located whole of Cyprus. 5 mins drive sea, Governors beach and Zigi fishing village. Lots of restaurants. We are 20 mins from Limassol, 25 minutes from Larnaca airport and 30 mins from Nicosia 1 hours drive from Paphos. Come pick grapes while sitting on your balcony or fruit from our orchard! Suitable for summer or winter holidays. A/C and central heating
This is a family house build in the 1840's and refurbished in the 1990's under the Cyprus Agrotourism scheme started by the Cyprus Tourism Association. It is build around a courtyard housing 4 very spacious apartments. The house has lots of character and is great to get away from it all! Ideal as a home away from home. Lots of people revisit and others like to rent it as a villa for large family holidays!
We are situated in the valley of Kalavasos dam. There are lots of orchards nearby with oranges and olives among other fruit. You are quite welcome to visit us in the winter season when we pick olives and you might also get a chance to see how olive oil is made. We will also take you to see how traditional haloumi cheese is made if you so wish. For swimming Governors beach is nearby and ideal for families with lots of nice beaches and restaurants
Kalavasos locals are very friendly and we have quite a few nice coffee shops in the village square which is a hang out of all the locals in the evenings. There are also a few nice restaurants in the village if you want to try local food. Archeological sites nearby in Kalavasos and Chirokitea ancient neolithic site is about 5 mins drive. Zigi fishing village is also very near with lots of lovely fish restaurants and a nice peer to walk on on the evenings.
If you are looking for night life Limassol is only 20 mins away and Larnaca and Nicosia are at most 30 mins from there.
If its a family holiday you want that's great! The house is ideal for families, in fact we often have requests for the whole house to be let as a villa and have had families of up to 24 people staying there!

This is a traditional Cypriot holiday, experiencing the Cyprus.
The house is in the valley of Kalavasos and is surrounded by orchards and olive groves. Just walk outside cross the bridge and walk up towards the dam and see the oranges, vines and olive trees!
The river flows in the late winter and spring if we are lucky but we have a really lovely stream that flows into the river just a stroll from the house
Drive into Limassol for the water park or to Governors beach for a swim and water sports
