Just 300 metres from the Black Sea Coast at the gateway of the Eforie Nord Resort, Villa Colonial presents an attractive base for a relaxing retreat or an active adventure. Oue villa is situated max. 10 min. to the natural beaches Acapulco and Debarcader, relaxing and quiet, covered with fine sand and lined the cliff with its spendide terraces.

The Cave of Gura Dobrogei - complex preserve (speological, paleontological, geological) situated between the villages of Limanu and Targusor. It is formed of three caves ("Limanu", "Liliecilor:, "La Adam") hosting great bat colonies.

The Danube Delta - due to its scientific and landscape importance, this huge geological and biologic "laboratory", where everything is constantly changing, was included by the UNESCO among the biosphere preserves. The fauna of the Danube Delta is a mosaic of species, unique in Europa and even in the world. Among the touristic centers of the Delta we mention: Malic (fitted for leisure), the fishermen villages of Vulturu, Gorgova and Crisan, Sulina, all these on the Sulina arm. On the Chilia arm we find the villages of Pardina, Chilia Veche, Marighiol (leisure center) etc.
Historical vestiges
Histria Fortress, Histria - the oldest town in our country, founded in the 8th century B.C. by the Greek colonists from Millet. The large stone-stabled pavement of the fortress leads us to Histria's former district ruins; nowadays there are still visible parts of walls, columns, inscriptioned pedestals, traces of the well-known mosaic paved thermae, the limestone ruins of a temple dedicated to Zeus or Aphrodite, all a reminder of the flourishing and prosperous ancient town.
Tomis Fortress, Constanta - founded at the beginning of the 6th century B.C., by the greek colonists from Millet. In the park close to Ferdinand Avenue, in the center of Constanta city, visitors can still admire a great part of old city enclosures, and a real outdoor gallery with amphoras and columns. "Tomis" changed its name to "Constanta" between the 6th and 7th centuries.
The Roman Edifice with Mosaic, Constanta - this outstanding complex of the ancient times linked the ancient citadel with the port. Built in the 4th century, the impressive edifice stretched over 2000 square meters.
Callatis Fortress, Mangalia - colony founded in the 6th century B.C., by Dorians arrived from Pontic Heracleea. Here were discovered: the Sirian Basilique, Roman-Byzantine necropolis, the ruins of Callatis Fortress and an important collection of amphoras and sculptures, as well as fragments of sarcophagus from the Hellenistic Age.
Other historical vestiges: Axiopolis Fortress - Cernavoda ( where was discovered "The Thinker of Hamangia"), Sacidava Fortress - Dunareni, Capidava Fortress, Ostrov Byzantine Fortress, Genoese Lighthouse from Constanta.
Religious buildings
The Great Mosque of Constanta - original monument built in 1910, in oriental style, unique in Dobrudja. The mosque is a copy of the Great Mosque Konia from Anatolia. From the top of the minaret, 50 meters high, it can be viewed a beautiful panorama of the entire town.
Other edifices: The Orthodox Cathedral "Sf. Petru si Pavel", Greek Church, The Mosque from Mangalia, Monastery Dervent from Ostrov (the two principals attractions are the working wonder Virgin Mary's icon and "the healing spring" whose water is said to be miraculous), Techirghiol Monastery.
Monuments and statues
"Tropaeum Traiani" Monument, Adamclisi - located at 64 km from Constanta, this monument is a proof of one of the most interesting chapters of the Romanian history. It was ordered to be built by Emperor Traian and was raised between 106-109 A.C., to celebrate the victory of the Romans against the Dacians, after a severe battle. The monument reveals aspects from a Roman-Dacian battlefield and the Roman military life.
Ovid's statue - the latin poet's statue is located in Ovid's Square, in the old part of the city, near Tomis marina port.
The bust of poet Mihai Eminescu - made by the sculptor Oscar Han in 1930, placed on the Casino Cliff.
Museums
The National History and Archaeology Museum, Constanta - one of the most endowed museum in our country, includes a wide range of archaeological documents dating back from the oldest traces of human life in Dobrudja to today. The museum houses present exhibits relating to different historical periods: prehistoric, Greek, Roman, Byzantine and medieval.
Museum Complex of Natural Sciences, Constanta - with Dolphinarium, Planetarium (endowed with an astronomical observatory and a station for solar observation) and Aquarium.
Art Museum, Constanta - exhibits picture and sculpture works of the well-known Romanian artists including: Nicolae Grigorescu, Theodor Aman, Ion Andreescu, Theodor Pallady, Corneliu Baba etc.
Other museums: Folk Art Museum, Romanian Naval Museum.
Treatment
