Mongiovino castle dates back to 1312, built on the top of one of the hills surrounding the southern shores of Lake Trasimeno, Mongiovino castle is surrounded by 140 hectares of forest, cultivars and olive trees along with five free-standing houses built in the eighteenth century, two of which are located inside castle walls.
The proprietor has endeavored to maintain Mongiovino in its original rustic beauty and wishes to offer his guests a unique stay in a destination so rich in character and local history. Additionally, the wine and reknowned extravirgin olive oil produced at Mongiovino is ICEA certified organic.
