Our modernized home (C/H, D/G), in the heart of the village, offers comfort within a 200 year old house. It is complemented by a delightful shaded terrace at the front of the house (perfect for relaxing with a book) with hardwood garden furniture and a BBQ. At the rear of the house there is a private walled garden with an above-ground plunge pool, outdoor table tennis, garden table and chairs. From the back garden there are views of the Cite of Carcassonne & the Pyrenees beyond. Additionally there is an indoor games room with darts & table football. A garage is available. The house offers four bedrooms (3 doubles and a twin), a kitchen/diner, and a lounge with log burning fire, leading to the terrace.There is a first floor bathroom and ground floor shower room. The house is well appointed, offering TV (French and English terrestrial channels), DVD, stereo, gas cooker, microwave, coffee machine, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Wi-fi internet access. Bed linen is provided.

Villedubert is a small, tranquil village in the heart of the vineyards on the Aude plain and close to the World Heritage Canal du Midi (seen recently on Rick Stein's TV programme "French Odyssey"), making cycling and walking a comfortable and pleasurable experience. Beyond, there are the Montagnes Noires to the north and the Corbieres Hills to the south, with the Pyrenees beyond. Carcassonne and its impressive, World Heritage medieval Cite is visible from the house and is only 8 km away. Transport links are excellent, with flights to Toulouse and Carcassonne and with rail and motorway links providing access from ports, to the coast, the Pyrenees and Spain. There is a daily bread delivery to the village. The small town of Trebes (3kms through the vineyards)has restaurants on the Canal, banks and shops.
We can provide the following items on request : Towels (indoor use) £5 pp.pw. A baby/toddler package (travel cot & linen, high chair, reclining pushchair, stair gate, mini-table+ chairs, melamine crockery) £25 per stay. Bicycles £5 pp per day.
We offer a welcome bottle of wine on arrival.Please note that this is a non-smoking house and that we are unable to accommodate pets.
