Converted Barn attached to owners Farmhouse set in 5 acres(Sleeps 1-6).
Situated in a rural hamlet between the villages of Frayssinet-le-Gelat and Goujounac near the Dordogne and Lot border
Accommodation: 2 double bedroom with en-suite(shower) adjoining twin bedded room available on request.
Large glass patio doors make the open plan lounge/kitchen and dining area ,light and airy.
Large covered terrace /outside dining area.
Lawned Garden and sunbathing area with views of our field and surrounding woodland.

Fully fitted kitchen with all amenities including: gas hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge, coffee maker, and toaster. Lots of workspace / tops to cook all that wonderful fresh market produce.
Separate dining area with table and chairs
Lounge: Comfortably furnished with 2 settees and chair seating 6. satellite television,DVD, video, cd/radio player.
Total living area comprises 50 sq.m and the floor space is covered in cool terracotta tiles.
Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with en-suite. The ensuite comprises shower cabinet, toilet and wash basin. This bedroom is situated on the ground floor.

Bedroom 2 :External stairs lead up to the French 19th C style furnished bedroom with antique double bed and antique furniture.En suite shower room with hand basin and WC.
Tea/coffee making facilities
French windows lead out onto a small balcony with views of the rose garden.
The bedroom window has extensive views of the 5-acre field, walnut orchard and surrounding woodland.
Bedroom 3
This twin bedded room is directly linked to the double bedroom above.Also with views of the field and woodland.
Rear large covered terrace with rustic stone walls and traditional beams. Rustic style dining table and seating ideal for outside dining whatever the weather (cool in summer). Here you can sit in peace and watch the varied wildlife birds of all sizes, butterflies,deer, also you will be amazed at the night sky here the Lot is the least light polluted area in Europe. Bring your binoculars!!
Garden and sunbathing area overlooking our 5-acre field supplied with sunloungers and BBQ
Outdoor games are also provided including Badminton, Dartboard, Swingball, Boules
Golf Driving on our private 5 acre field.
Pretty orchard containing cherries, peaches and exotic trees. Well stocked and maintained garden with over 30 rose bushes.

5min walk away is a good-sized swimming pool and tennis court (small charge open mid June-mid Sept)
5 min walk to “La Poule au Pot” restaurant serving excellent regional cuisine and a la carte menu
1.5 Km away is the picturesque village of Goujounac, which has a small Hotel/ restaurant and village store. Horse riding is also located here.
2.5Km away is the village of Frayssinet -le –Gelat which has a small restaurant producing delicious stone baked pizza and regional cuisine. Le Relais hotel with friendly bar, grocers, bakers, post office and a picturesque lake with boats, pedaloes, fishing .
The market towns of Prayssac and Cazals are a 10 min drive both have excellent facilities i.e. supermarkets, banks, weekly markets selling fresh regional products, sidewalk cafes where you can relax and watch the world go by
5km away is Les Arques with the Ossip Zadkine museum and La Recreation restaurant as written about by Michael Sanders in his book “From here you can’t see Paris” (a good read if you want to know more about the way of life here)
The Dordogne valley is 25 minutes, the Lot valley and Vineyards 15 minutes, Cahors 30 minutes, Sarlat 40 min
This is an ideal location to discover the Chateaux, and Bastide towns of the Dordogne/Lot..
Stunning Rocamadour, Mediaeval Sarlat and Beynac castle are within an easy and pleasant drive away.
Fishing - you will be spoilt for choice here with rivers, streams,lakes teaming with many varieties of fish.
