Property description
The pub now has a new roof! which means it is shinier than in the picture...not so picturesque...but also less likely to leak in the rain, and also insulated; much better in summer!
Old stone cottage on the Victorian goldfields, 10 min from Castlemaine on the Daylesford side, very basic but with a great atmosphere, ideal for a quiet, cheap break. on half an acre of land on a very quiet side road in a very small town. only one other house nearby (diagonally opposite). gorgeous sunsets, picturesque outlooks.
two bedrooms, wood burning heater, indoor loo, books, foldout couch, old clawfoot bath (town water, continuous hws and power) eclectic crockery, new gas stovetop, mini fridge; this is my own holiday place and I like to rent it to friendly, creative people like myself. groups up to six are OK, but please let me know who'll be going. well behaved dogs OK by prior arrangement, cats not OK sorry.
byo sheets, towels and doonas please.
rental: $300 for seven nights or $160 for two nights. please note this is not per night as on the listing; I am trying to fix that.
NB: the map this site creates is NOT the actual location. it is listed under "Castlemaine" but is ten minutes' drive from there.
