BabaShak is an air conditioned, 5 bedroom bed and breakfast, seafood, vegetarian and vegan restaurant. Come stay with us and enjoy the natural vibes, warm and friendly atmosphere from both our staff and the local community.
Located in Salem, Runaway Bay, in the Parish of St Ann, on the North Coast of Jamaica. We are 1 hour and 20 minute from Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego-Bay and a 2 hour and 15 minutes drive from Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
Our warm and friendly guest house, is set on over an acre of green well kept lawn, with its front veranda just 15 feet away from the sea. It is ideal for family vacations, short breaks and romantic encounters.
The view from Babashak is absolutely breathtaking at all times. Watching the sun set and the moon rise is a favorite pastime with the sound of the waves, surrounding natural life and the magnificent ocean to keep you company. Many have found the changing shades of the turquoise waters to be almost hypnotic and have spent many hours gazing at the sea from our front verandah causing us to rename the area "Wutless" - (A Jamaican colloquialism for lazy).
We are internationally renowned for our exotic, mouthwatering, healthy and authentic seafood, vegetarian and vegan dishes. Our style is a combination of Traditional Jamaican cum Rastafarian with Trinidadian and International influences. It is a epicurean experience that is usually savored and enjoyed by every guest. Our seafood is usually caught fresh every morning from the sea in front of Babashak and all our produce is locally grown and freshly picked.

Ocho Rios is only 25 minutes away by car, Richmond Estate the new home of the revived Reggae Sunsplash is a 7 minutes drive, Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove is 20 minutes by car. You may include a combination of activities with your stay at BabaShak, or decide you want a lazy vacation relaxing on the beach whilst being fed by us or mixed with light activities such as jet skiing and exploring the local community and fishing beach near-by.
