Property description
La Linotte is a part of the farm Les Crécerelles. It was originally a barn converted to a villa on two floors with a balcony on one aspect and private patio garden on the other. The views from the first floor windows are even more lovely than those from the ground floor and garden.
The bedrooms are: one double with beautifully appointed shower room en-suite, and a twin bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. The rooms are spacious and charmingly furnished.
The living accommodation comprises a lounge in which there is a studio couch which provides comfortable sleeping accommodation for two adults (making 6 in all), together with two tub chairs, a cd player and television with dvd/video player (Films can be borrowed free of charge from the owners' library).
The modern but character kitchen, has large table for dining, a washing machine, large fridge, full-size hob and oven, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There is ample crockery, cutlery and glassware. French doors lead onto the balcony and the kitchen door leads through to the private patio garden.
On the patio is a tonnelle with table and chairs, sun loungers and barbecue. The outlook is over the swimming pool, the valley and woodlands.

Additional information
Evening meals on the terrace of the farmhouse are available upon request. Four courses with wine will cost €18 per person. (2007 - Special offer for gite guests on day of arrival €10) These are particularly popular on the night of arrival as it saves having to shop! Welcome packs (€15) available on request, although basics such as milk, tea etc are supplied anyway.
As well as the large swimming pool (12m x 5m) there is a badminton court (not for professionals!), a table tennis table with bats etc, boules, and swings for small children. There are also a number of bicycles available for guests to use (at their own risk) to explore the surrounding countryside.
We have two ancient and magnificant castles nearby - Bonaguil and Biron, and many quaint medieval 'bastide' hill top towns with market squares and narrow streets.
There is a championship golf course just 30 minutes away and local tennis courts and swimming baths (if you feel the need for a long distance swim). Canoes can be hired and fishing licences purchased for the river Lot which runs through Fumel.
Les Crécerelles is situated on the edge of the wonderful Cahors wine region and a favourite occupation with visitors is to tour the vineyards sampling the local produce! Lot et Garonne is also famous for prunes, duck and foie gras, all of which can be purchased locally.
We are lucky enough to live in a wonderfully peaceful and beautiful area where there is much wildlife and countryside in which to stroll or take long walks.
