Idillic 4 Star fabulous luxury barn set in the countryside at Biron with a lovely pool.
La Grange at Le Mounard, Biron is a fantastic newly renovated barn which offers almost every luxury you might need and sleeps up to 9 plus a baby.
On entering the stone build house from the drive and patio via the electric roller shuttered large patio sliding doors you arrive at the living room with its high beamed cathedral ceiling.
This is divided into the sitting area with exposed stone and wood which is furnished with a large comfortable leather corner sofa and a cushioned settle around the wood burning fire. Here you will find a television with a DVD and video player. There is also a telephone for receiving incoming calls and it can be used for outgoing calls using a phone card.
The dining area has a large farmhouse table and chairs and sideboard which then leads to the kitchen.
The fitted kitchen is made of solid oak and is equipped with an oven, hob and microzave. There is a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, mixer and other appliances. A corner cupboard holds the vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board.
There are then 2 bedrooms on this level. One has a double bed and the other has twin beds. There is a bathroom with a twin basin vanity unit and a
cupboard discretely hides the washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a separate WC.
The downstairs floors are tiled throughout and have underfloor heating for the winter months.
Upstairs, there are 2 further bedrooms. One has a double bed and the other has 3 single beds and a full sized cot.
All the bedrooms are furnished tastefully with antique style beds with good quality matresses. They also all have built in wardrobes.
There is a shower room with a twin vanity unit and a sparate WC.
There are electric radiators on this level.
All the windows have wooden shutters which help to keep the house cool in summer and warmer in winter.
No expense has been spared to make this into a luxury home for you to enjoy your holiday to the full.
Leading from the maintained gravel road via wooden double
gates you arrive at the fully fenced garden with a
gravelled drive and turning/parking area and a stone path that leads to the terrace outside the patio doors with electric shutters that take you into the living room.
The terrace offers a fabulous dining area close to both the barbecue and the kitchen and overlooks the beautiful alarmed 10X5m pool with gentle roman steps that lead to the 1.5m basin. The pool alarm conforms to the Eropean safety standards and works on the displacement of water principle.
The pool has paving around it and sunloungers.
From the paving there is a large grassed area with trees
around its borders and a wooden swing unit to allow the
children to have fun while the adults relax in the warmth
of the day.

Le Mounard is about 1 kilometer from Biron along a quiet maintained gravelled track which leads in the direction of the old Bastide town of Monpazier with restaurants serving all regional delicacies eg Fois Gras, Duck,etc and wines, regular markets and many small shops.
Biron has an ancient chateau for you to discover.
There are weekly night markets in the area where you can eat and drink and buy local produce. Many villages in the area have these markets, including Lacapelle Biron, Salle, Sauveterre la Lemance, Loubejac and Fumel.
Near Fumel, at Libos on a Thursday morning is a large market selling everything from live rabbits and chickens to food, clothes and gifts. The vegetables and fruit are all locally grown and fresh and the aroma of the spit roast chickens and other dishes is mouthwatering.
Biron is between the rivers Dordogne and Lot with both offering river trips, canoeing and swimming.
Large supermarkets can be found at Bergerac, Villeneuve sur Lot and Fumel and smaller ones at Villereal, Monpazier, Beaumont and Castillones.
There are beautiful chateaux along the way and many vineyards offering the chance to taste before you buy their amazing wines.
A little further afield is Agen and Parc Wallibe - a disney style parc which caters for all ages from tiny ones to the not so young with a few white-knuckle rides for good measure.
At Lacapelle Biron is an adventure park - Parc en Ciel - for all ages with a fam zoo for the little ones and an agility course graded to all ages. There is also crazy golf here and a cafe and attractive alks and gardens.
