Convienently located between Lassen Volcanic National Park and Lake Almonor, just 10 miles West of Chester on Hwy. 36. Enjoy the rustic warmth of a quiet mountain getaway. The St. Bernard Lodge is a historic, four season, resort ofering a hearty meal, cozy room or refreshing beverage to weary travelers and guests since 1929. Experience the sensation of stepping back in time as you ascend the staircase to the 7 comfortable and charming room, many with king size beds. Luxurious bath robes are provided in each room for your comfort and are especially useful when you visit the outdoor spa. The warmth and comfort continue as you enjoy your favorite beverage and play a game of pool or darts in the tavern. Dine in casual elegance on lace covered tables in our dining room. A full breakfast is included with your stay. Lunch and dinner are available by reservation. Miles of trails are accessible from our back doorfor your hiking, horseback riding or 4-wheeling pleasure. The Lodge has pipe corrals and fenced pastures available for overnight horse boarding and there is plenty of parking for your trailer. A favorite spot to relax is the deck overlooking the trout pond. View the natural wildlife and birds from your room's window. Stroll the grounds and feed the ducks or rainbow trout in one of our two stocked ponds. Explore the miles of trails available for hiking, biking, horseback riding and 4-wheeling. Enjoy fishing at the many local streams or rent a boat for a day's fun at Lake Almanor. Visit Lassen Volcanic National Park for a day of adventure exploring the parks many resources. During the snow season you can ride snow mobiles or cross country ski right from our back door. Rent a bike and tour the town of Chester, which has many arts and craft fairs throught the summer as well as a historic shopping district to visit.
