Hot deal details: Sadie Cove Wilderness Lodge, known as one of the top 10 Eco-Resorts in North America is offerring a 10 day wilderness adventure package with plenty of tours along with time to relax and enjoy the facilities of the lodge.
The lodge is located in Kachemak Bay State Park - 10 boat miles from Homer. The jewel of the Kenai Peninsula, Sadie Cove is a steep, remote, and rugged fjord filled with wild mountain goats, sea otters, bald eagles, songbirds, intertidal sea life, an occasional bear, a few whales, and more. Parties of 8 have the entire lodge to themselves - each couple in a private cabin enjoying views of the cove, Mount Augustine, and nearby islands. From the deck of each cabin one can spot wildlife and listen to the cries of the wild bald eagles. The food is award-winning, the hospitality is robust and genuine, and the atmosphere is casually elegant. The lodge was built in the 1970's by Alaska Pioneer Keith Iverson who built the lodge with driftwood that he milled by hand over the course of 20 years. The cabins are each comfortable, unique, and a pleasure to sleep in with featherbeds and natural linens. Awarded for environmental awareness and sustainability of tourism, the Iversons have lived their eco-lifestyle for over 30 years and they invite a select few to share that lifestyle with them year-round. The Great Alaskan Adventure (for parties of 6 or more) includes 7 nights at the lodge, 2 nights in Anchorage, and the following optional tours: Fly-out bear viewing; full-day, private boat, salmon or halibut fishing; Full-day private backcountry tour; Full-day private wildlife photography tour OR private guided sea kayaking. Parties of 8 always have the entire lodge to themselves.

Additional information
The lodge was built beginning in 1972 by Kachemak Bay Pioneer Keith Iverson from logs found on the beaches. e milled these logs into lumber by hand, one by one to build what would ultimately become the Sadie Cove Wilderness Lodge that we see today. The lodge itself is comfortable and unique and stands as an example of what one man can do with a hammer, a box of nails, and a lot of imagination.
