Graelyn is an historic villa in a peaceful settting. We offer a choice of double rooms (with Queen sized bed), or a twin room, all with ensuite bathroom. Breakfast of homemade muesli, fruits and baking, or a cooked breakfast available by arrangement. Close to town, golf and the Tutukaka Coast with its world class diving at the Poor Knnight's marine reserve. We are perfectly situated as a base for your Northland holiday with the Bay of Islands, Waipoua Kauri Forest, and Matakohe Kauri Museum all an easy drive away. Gerry and Carole will happily help you plan your Northland stay, and if you feel like a break from driving we offer a choice of tours to Northland's natural and historic attractions. Birding tours a speciality.

Whangarei is Northland's major city and has a fine selection of restaurants, and a vibrant shopping centre. The surrounding region offers a wide selection of marine based activities such as diving, surfing, snorkelling or just enjoying the beach. Bush walks are easily accessible for those preferring terrestrial activities. The Bay of Islands is world famous for it's scenery, dolphin watching, and fishing.
Whangarei has four golf courses, and Graelyn is a five minute walk from the Whangarei Golf Club at Mt Denby.
Visit Whangarei museum at Heritage Park with it's Kiwi House, or Clapham's Clock Museum or the Whangarei Art Museum.
