Property description

We have four air conditioned rooms and two cabanas set on a five acre spread from sea to lagoon. The grounds are landscaped to incorporate the natural jungle and much wildlife lives on the grounds including many varieties of birds and lizards, fox and possum, coati, raccoons and squirrels, agoutis and the famous gibnut.

All the wildcats of Belize have been sighted here on the peninsula, including the jaguar (with cubs!), cougars or pumas, margays, ocelots, and jaguarundis. The mighty "wowla" or boa constrictor, lives on the peninsula as well. We suggest not petting or feeding the wild creatures.

The air condioned rooms are new, located right on the beach and finished in local mahogany. They have hardwood floors, hot water private bath with
a porch overlooking the caribbean. Two rooms have
a double and a single bed and a table and chairs with personal coffee maker. The other two ac rooms have 2 double beds and large screened porches w/ table, chairs, and coffee makers. Regular american current is available to run your computer or stereo. Color TV w/ 40 channels is available free in your room.
The cabanas have thatch roofs, hardwood floors, private porch, screened windows, private baths with hot and cold shower and fans, and are located within 60 feet of the caribbean. One cabana has two double beds, the other has a double and a single plus a table and chairs.

Linn was born in Taiwan, her Asian cuisine is the best in the area and she prepares many European and American dishes as well. The menu changes as different foods come into season. Local fruits and vegetables are always featured as is fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Several local shrimp farms provide a regular supply of some of the freshest shrimp anywhere. The restaurant is located on the sea and has a spectacular view, full bar available.
We pick you up and return you to the local airport (Placencia Airport) free with your stay.

Additional information

Our area is famous for our long sandy beaches, the whale shark season May - Oct, as well as the Jaguar Reserve, Monkey River, the many wonderful cayes for snorkeling, and the many new Mayan ruin discoveries & beautiful waterfalls. We also have many international & local restaurants serving the best of the Caribbean.
Off shore a short boat ride is the barrier reef.
The diving and snorkeling here must be what the first divers saw. This sparsely populated area has hardly even been fished and the underwater wildlife is abundant and varied.
We are located near the Jaguar reserve ,the world's only one, and tours are available. Yes ,it is possible to see one, but even if you don't the rainforest is beautiful. There is a waterfall at the reserve for swimming. Some tours include tubing a river through the reserve.
Other tours available include a trip to local Mayan ruins, birdwatching tours, Monkey river (a trip up the river through the jungle), fishing in the lagoon or the sea as well as other national parks such as the Blue Hole. Local businesses rent canoes, scooters, and kayaks.
Several local dive shops rent equipment and most of the dive operators rent snorkling and dive equiptment.
Bicycles are free for our guests & scooters are available for rent in the villages.
