Patzcuaro is renown for it's history and traditions. Here the time goes back, you will be surrounded by XVI and XVII Century buildings. Some of the nicest handicrafts in Mexico with excellent prices as well as many indian villages and archeological zones to explore.
Patzcuaro is located: 3 hours from Zihuatanejo, San Miguel de Allende and Guadalajara and about 4hrs. from Mexico City.
To get to Patzcuaro by plane the closest airport is(MLM) Morelia with direct flight to San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and Los Angeles as well as Chicago and Houston. Other conections can be made from Mexico City as there are regular daily flights to Morelia.
