Castello was one of the earliest part of Venice to be settled and in that Historic District we are proud to propose you our brand new charming and intimate bed & breakfast named “5295 Alla Casa Sul Canale”. It takes its name from the address and from the location; in fact it lies along the typical Canal which, passing under the Bridge of Sighs, reaches the St. Mark's Basin.
Ideally located behind St Mark's Square, one of the most beautiful squares in the world and for centuries the centre of Venetian life , 5295 Alla casa sul Canale stands in one of the oldest and smallest street in Venice that hasn't yet been swept away by mass tourism and where you can still find artisan workshops.
Totally away from the cares of the world but right in the throbbing heart of the historical centre, your “home away from home” is an ideal departure point for visiting all of the city's treasures on foot. Some of the best dining, shopping and entertainment are within five minutes from your Venetian Home.

Venice is special. No cars!!!
If you arrive by car you can park it in Piazzale Roma at the "Comunale Garage" or at " Garage San Marco" or just finish the bridge which connect the mainland to Venice, you can park at Tronchetto car terminal, turning on the right.
From both car terminals you can catch the pubblic waterbus #82 and get off at Rialto pier or at San Marco Vallaresso pier.
By car
Follow directions to the Piazzale Roma parking terminal. Take water bus (vaporetto) line 82 to the Rialto stop, walk crossing San Bortolomeo square and take sottoportico della Bissa on the left of the square. Proceed along calle della Bissa until you reach the ponte S. Antonio bridge. Head over the bridge and continue straight ahead to the end of salizada San Lio, then turn right and take the first street on the left, calle Casselleria. 5295 alla casa sul canale is located inside the courtyard at the end of this street.
By train
From the Santa Lucia railway station, take water bus (vaporetto) line 82 to the Rialto stop then follow the above directions.
By airplane
From Venice's Marco Polo airport, take the ALILAGUNA shuttle service to St.Mark’s pier.
From there turn right into Piazza San Marco (St Mark's Square), walk through the square and turn left just before the clocktower and head towards piazzetta dei Leoncini, located directly behind St Mark's Basilica. With the Venini glass store on your left, proceed along calle della Canonica and take the last street on the left. Head along calle dell'Anzolo (or calle Dell'Angelo) and cross over the ponte dell'Anzolo bridge. Further ahead, turn right into calle Casselleria. On the left there is a courtyard named Corte dei Frutaroi and the entrance will be on your right
