Property description
A cosy country house in the beautiful Florence hills. Only a short drive (15 min) from Florence.
Along the old faentina road between Florence and the green valley of Mugello there is the small village of Polcanto.
Just outside the village, at 450 mt altitude, in a quiet location surrounded by woods and with a suggestive view of the valley, it is where Porcigliano is.
Our family came here in 2000 when we decided to leave the city for a better quality of life.
We completely restored the house following the lines of the bio building, respecting the environment and maintaining the original atmosphere. We then decided to start with the B&B and our first guests arrived in the 2006.
We offer a warm welcome together with spacious and comfortable accommodation. We have three bedrooms with ensuite bath.
Eah room is furnished with old family’s furniture and offer a superb view over the hills.
We serve breakfast in the garden , whenever possible we use ingredients from local, organic
producers.

Additional information
A typical countryside garden surrounds the house offering nice places for reading, relaxing or walking. There is also a kitchen garden where we produce organic seasonal vegetables.
Several typical tuscan "trattorie" (local food) are in a short distance.
Porcigliano is an ideal location for visiting Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca
and exploring the Mugello, an attractive teritory rich in history, art and nature.
