Property description
We are located in a pristine valley below Monte Amiata, surrounded by rolling green hills and forests. We are Le Pianore! Ideally situated between Siena and Grosseto, with the Tyrrhenian sea to the West, Le Pianore is only a few minutes' drive from Monticello Amiata, a medieval village in the heart of the Maremma region of Grosseto.
The property consists of two large houses and a renovated barn, and the facilities include a swimming pool (12m x 6m), a large pergola for outdoor dining and above all the Hall of San Francesco, a large multifunctional space (160 square meters). The hall has wooden floors and a wooden loft with 14 tatamis, and restrooms. It is perfectly suitable to a variety of activities and courses, and has audiovisual capabilities.

A number of distinguishing characteristics make Le Pianore a unique place. It is an island of tranquillity which offers refuge from the bustle of our frenzied daily lives.
When Elena Basile, the owner of the agro tourism, chanced upon the property in 1990 it was completely abandoned and isolated. She has since renovated it into a fully functional and highly active place.
All the effort and energy that went into renovating the property were invested in transforming Le Pianore into an oasis of calm, nestled in the green Tuscan landscapes that surround it. If looking for a comfortable place where you can relax and engage in preferred activities, you will find Le Pianore's space and silence ideal.
Our goal is above all to make Le Pianore available, for a week or more, to associations and groups - theatre, sports and meditation, yoga and martial arts, cooking and so on - whoever need a suitable venue for seminars, workshops, meetings and courses.
Throughout its long history Le Pianore has been a meeting point. It is the oldest rural building in the area, and the small barn by the main house, known as the Cella di Santo Stefano (Saint Stefano's Lodge), used to be a place of meditation and refuge for the monks gathered during their pilgrimages to the monastery of Abbadia San Salvatore nearby.
Both the Campostefani house, with its renovated barn, and the Maladina house are at the guests' disposal, as well as the multifunctional hall and all facilities and equipment. Half-board and full-board meals are also available (including vegetarian meals upon request).

Our residence is an eco-friendly farmhouse, there are orchards, olive groves and a vineyard organically farmed.
Le Pianore can accommodate up to a total of 26 guests.
The whole residence is at the guests’ disposal, as well as all facilities and equipments: swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna. Half-board and full-board meals are also available (including vegetarian meals upon request).
