Property description
Our structure is a very simple countryside accommodation.
We are certainly not the Plaza, but the friendly atmosphere with us is certainly more informal, relaxed and enjoyable
Close to the sea (800 m.from the beaches), hidden in a mimosa tree wood, the cottage is enclosed in a small garden planted with Mediterranean flowers and shrubs that every season of the year provide colour and scents. The nearby village of Latte has got practically all facilities, post office, bank, ATM, supermarkets, drugstore, bars and last but not least the beaches.
By car it’s a matter of minutes reaching both Italian and French splendid resorts. Driving Westwards to France, approx. 1 mile from our village - Latte - is the location of the internationaly famous Hanbury botanical gardens, also nearby are the Balzi Rossi pre-historical grottoes site with the adjoining museum.
Just over the border, the French coastline stretches from Menton to St.Tropez, with famous, colorful sea villages and towns, most of which is a must-see, such as Monte Carlo, Eze Village, Beaulieu, Villefranche, Nice, Antibes and Juan Les Pins.
Five minutes drive Eastwards reaches Ventimiglia. Absolutely not to be missed is a visit to the historical section of the old town (second best in Liguria) with its amazing monuments (Romanics).

Quite interesting is the local Friday market, Italy’s largest, featuring garments, shoes and leatherware, the real specialty being the perfect FAKES. A unique attraction is offered by the inland villages, where you can taste typical local products and wines. The whole time you will see from atop, the splendid view of the Riviera di Ponente coastline.
Near Ventimiglia you will also find the towns of Bordighera, Ospedaletti and Sanremo.
The latter town, renowned for its Italian Song Festival, was a favorite with English tourists since the last century. It is also known for its casino and Russian church, two adjacent buildings quite worth a visit. To the shopping tourist, this town offers countless, amazing fashions shops.
We will at any rate provide you with comprehensive tourist information and brochures to let you have all required information that will prove useful for your hikes, excursions, trips and visits.
