Carrum is a wide and long sandy beach featuring the Patterson river mouth. It is perfect for fishing and boating (including launch ramps, mooring and refueling). The safe swimming beach is patrolled in summer by the Carrum Life Saving Club. Depending on the tide, you will be able to “walk†out into the water for approximately 15 to 25 metres before it even reaches your chest! Nearby, the adjoining reserves with parking and picnic facilities, are ideal for walking and cycling. Carrum Beach and its nearby shopping strip are easily accessible by car, bike or train.
