Property description
Somerset House is a new 4 bedroom vacation home. Furnished throughout with stylish and comfortable furniture and fittings to make a memorable vacation for families (sleeps 8). Outside there is a large wrap around veranda from where you can view the setting sun, a screened area with gas barbecue and glass patio table seating up to 8. 3 bedrooms on the first floor have 1 king bed (master) and 2 queen beds, the loft bedroom has twin beds. 2 full bathrooms on first floor (one en-suite with spa bath) and half bathrooms in loft and on ground floor.
The master bedroom has quality bedroom suite with king size bed and luxurious bedding. It has an ensuite bathroom with spa bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet and two vanity sinks plus walk in closet/dressing room. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen beds with quality bedding, built in double door closet and separate cupboards with fitted shelves. Bedroom 4 is an open plan loft bedroom with two single beds that can be put together to make a king bed, if required. It has a two piece bathroom with vanity unit plus a built in closet. There is a ceiling fan, air exchanger plus a flat screen TV, DVD and CD player, ideal space for teenagers.
Kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and there is a fully equipped laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The kitchen also has a desk area with dial up internet access available.
The house has central heating for cooler nights plus an air exchanger. The loft bedroom has a fitted ceiling fan whilst the other bedrooms have individual fans. The lounge has two large comfortable sofas and coffee tables, intimate lighting with lamps and up lighter plus binoculars to watch the birds on the bay. Look out for the Bald Eagle and Osprey families. There is a selection of DVDs and a basket of books.
The dining room has an extendable table that seats 8 with a hutch and buffet and selection of glasses for your formal dining. There is also a selection of indoor and outdoor games provided.
For families with a baby a full size cot plus a high chair can be provided upon request.
Luxury bedding, towels and beach towels are provided. Hair driers are provided in 3 bathrooms. A home from home for a perfect family holiday.

3 day weekends and mid-week bookings in the off season accepted but weekly bookings take priority.
Pass for national parks included for renters use (to be left at end of vacation)

Somerset House is situated on the favoured north shore of Prince Edward Island. The house overlooks Brackley Bay and is just a few minutes drive from the beaches and sand dunes of the National Park at Brackley Beach (National Park pass provided). While being in a beautiful peaceful location the house is only 15 minutes from Charlottetown Airport and 20 minutes from the centre of Charlottetown, a bustling city with it's many shops, restaurants, cinemas, banks, historic harbour side and Confederation of the Arts Theatre. Also within easy reach are some of the wonderful golf courses which have made PEI the number one golf destination in North America. For families, as well as the nearby beaches, there is the Confederation Trail for cycling, nearby Cavendish for 'Anne of Green Gables' which is celebrating its centenary this year, and just a few minutes drive away there is an outdoor cinema and a selection of excellent local restaurants.
