Quality Guest House B&B with bistro in the village of Corca, close to La Bisbal, Girona, Costa Brava. With some parts dating back to the 15th Century, El Reces retains traditional rustic character, whilst sympathetic renovations have preserved many original features. The majority of the building has the original stone walls & the latest fixtures and fittings offer a luxury feel, while blending attractively with the rustic style.
Rooms are very spacious and all have private bathrooms, tea & coffee facilities,
thermostatic heating & WIFI. Breakfast, lunches & dinners are served in the bistro or on the terraces.
Accommodation options include single, twin, double & family rooms with extra beds or baby cot. Guests enjoy plenty of space, peace and privacy, with all rooms located off a central stairway leading up to the top floor lounge and terraces. The top floor lounge has English TV, DVD & WIFI. As one of the tallest houses in the village, the lounge & terraces have picturesque views of the church and over the village rooftops. Corca village has an un-spoilt feel with its medieval buildings, in which many Catalan families have lived for generations.

Girona City, Barcelona, Dali Triangle: Figueres, Port Lligat, Pubol. Beach resorts, secluded coves throughout the Costa Brava region, Medieval villages, Iberic Settlement and Roman ruins. La Bisbal is the 'capital' for ceramics in Northern Spain. The Pyrenees, Banyoles lake, Besalu and France for day trips.
Activities:
Horse Riding: Local stables cater for the novice - experienced riders. Lessons can be booked on a group or individual basis. Rides by the hour – day treks to the coast.
Watersports: The best diving can be found off the Medes Islands. Lessons can be booked on a day or weekly basis. Also windsurfing, water-skiing, sailing, kayaking.
Boat Trips: View the sea life around the Medes Islands in a glass bottom boat and have a go at snorkeling. Cruise along the coast to Roses & Cadeques on a daytime or evening trip.
Waterparks: Aquadiver Water Park at Platja d’Aro.
Skiing: The ski resort Vallter 2000 is at the start of the Pyrenees. Great for a day trip - 90 minutes by car. All ski equipment can be hired & lessons pre booked.
Walking: The best costal walks can be found along the cliffs close to Begur & Palafrugell. Countryside walks from village to village. Follow the signposts which include ‘km’.
Cycling: Extensive signposted routes throughout the Baix Emporda. Flat or mountain rides for all levels of cyclist. The old disused railway lines ‘greenways’ are also popular, routes include, Girona-Olot & Girona-Sant Feliu de Guixols. Bikes can be delivered for hire.
Quad Bikes: Quads and Segways at Gualta for excursions for adults & children.
