Property description
The Casa Rosita is located on the 8 acre very private panoramic view Rosebud Ruby Star Ranch in Joshua Tree California, 2 minutes from the most scenic high Mohave Desert West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, 40 Miles from Palm Springs CA, 120 miles from LA, 3.5 hours from Las Vegas, owned and decorated by installation artist Sandy Rosen. The Casa is totally away from traffic on a private unpaved, but easily driveable road. It is centrally heated and cooled.
The Casa has a large bedroom with a queensized bed, huge walk-in closet, interior shuttered windows and hand-glazed walls.The living room has a fireplace and a laid-out futon which can serve as an additonal sleeping accommodation. There is a DVD/CD player. The living room is open to the completely furnished gourmet kitchen and southwestern-style dining room. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower with a bubblemat and romantic lighting. There are two patios, one with an outside dining room, barbecue grill and fully plumbed discreet outdoor bathtub with bubble jets and shower. The second patio has an outdoor fireplace and lounges that may be used for outdoor sleeping.

You are surrounding by the ever inventive desert plants which never fail to surprise in their ability to survive in this highly dramatic climate. You may hike, bike, horseback ride, rockclimb, visit early settler historical sites all within minutes of the Ranch.You can visit famous Gubler's Orchid Farm, the mysterious Integratron for a "soundbath", see artist Noah Purifoy's 7.5 acre desert sculpture garden, go to one of the few remaining drive-in movie theatres, visit Pioneertown, which remains much like it was when the early televison and film companies used it for their western features., eat in a Texas-style roadhouse,a quintessential desert cafe, listen to local and nationally-known musicians, who find this desert a wonderful place to live and play.Art and other workshops are available on the Ranch at the Rosebud Ruby Star Bed and Breakfast and Ruby Star Studio where you can also visit with the ranch horse, mules and chickens.
