Property description
Built in 1905, by Frank Maynard, a leading industrialist, the Goddard Mansion has been beautifully restored to reflect the easy elegance and comfort of a bye-gone era. Breafast is enjoyed in the Tiffany lit dining room with it large picture window, faming a panoramic view of the mountains of NH and VT, with preserves of fruit grown on the property.
The livingroom/parlour has a lovely aby grand piano, a 5' tiled fireplace and pilowed/windows seats with mountain views beyond.
A computer is available in the fumed oak paneled library for the convenience of our 21st century travelers.
Tha mansion sits on 7 acres of groomed lawns and gardens, so peaceful and serene....the original 'tea house' is a special spot to have afternoon tea, read a book or just gaze out at the mountains.
The upstairs sitting room, as well as the lovely guest rooms, are all uniquely decorated, from the warmth of the French Country Room to the more formal decor of the Victorian Room, and the surreal Cloud Room.
All in all, the Goddard Mansion makes the perfect destination for a Romantic Getaway or just a restful retreat from the hectic pace of today's world!
