Property description
Hidden away in Kauai's lush tropical countryside lies the "Kauai Country Inn", or as our guests frequently call it their "home away from home." Centrally located on the east side of the island of Kauai, the Inn is only minutes away from breathtaking beaches, beautiful hiking trails, and activities such as kayaking, shopping, dining and world class golf.
The two acre property is situated on a serene mountain valley, although it's only minutes away from the turquoise blue Pacific Ocean. This stylish Inn is a picturesque quiet hideaway off the beaten path, that offers executive style suites, all with private entrance, bath, kitchenette, or full kitchen.
All of our suites are beautifully furnished in Hawaiian style decor, and all have very comfortable four poster beds. The suites also enjoy high speed DSL internet access & in-room computers so you can easily check your e-mail while away from home. Then there is the Beatles Museum, the only one of it's kind in the Hawaiian Islands.

Additional information
As our name indicates, the Inn is situated in lush tropical countryside, less then a 10 minute drive away from beautiful east shore beaches and the many restaurants and shops located in Kapaa. On your way to and from the Inn you will pass splendid waterfalls, tropical rainforest and drive through gorgeous valleys. This is a quiet, out-of-town location close to many beautiful hiking trails – yet it’s less then 10 minutes away from some of the best beaches and restaurants on the Island.
Most of the island’s attractions are close by: Just 5 minutes away from the Inn are the Opaeka’a Waterfalls and the Wailua River, where the Smith’s Tour Boats will take you to the famed “Fern Grotto”, used as a location in Elvis’s “Blue Hawaii” movie. Kapaa town, less then 10 minutes away from us, is the biggest "city" on Kauai and offers the most variety in restaurants and shops. The Wailua Golf Course is just south of Kapaa and offers an 18 hole course with quite reasonable green fees.
Our central location offers quick access to the scenic sugar country of the south shore, or the taro fields of the northern coast.
Drive 30 minutes north of Kapaa and you will get to Kauai’s famed North Shore and the towns of Princeville and Hanalei. More beautiful beaches await you. Check out Hanalei Bay, a 2 mile white sand beach famed for it’s winter surf and make sure to drive all the way to the end of the road, where Ke’e Beach, one of the best snorkel beaches in the State of Hawaii, awaits you.
On you way back, stop at the Kilauea Lighthouse and learn it’s rich Island history and don’t miss the bird sanctuary surrounding it.
In the other direction, a 30 minute drive south will take you to famed Poipu Beach, the “Spouting Horn” and "Shipwreck Beach". Or carry on around the Island and check out Waimea town where time seems to be standing still. This is where Captain Cook first set foot on the island. Don’t forget to check out the Russian Fort just outside Waimea town.
Another 30 minutes drive will take you high into the mountains to gaze upon the Waimea Canyon, affectionately named the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” by Mark Twain. Don’t miss the Kalalau Lookout while you’re up there – this will give you your closest view of the Na Pali coastline, a panoramic view of Kauai’s North Shore, unless you want to get 'up close and personal' and take a 3 day/ 11 mile hike or go by boat or helicopter.
