Property description

One Bedroom Apartment on the Residencial Las Dunas Complex in Corralejo

This is a first floor apartment sleeping up to 4 guests with twin beds and a sofa opening out to a full sized double bed. Furnished to a high standard in a modern style with everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday, it is set in a quieter part of the complex whilst still only a few steps away from the pool. The complex itself has a large freeform swimming pool, sunbeds and umbrellas, childrens section of the pool, tennis courts, an exercise room and well established gardens.

Residencial Las Dunas was completely renovated during 2007/8 and the apartments are now under private ownership with a combination of residential and holiday homes. The apartment was given brand new fixtures and fittings throughout in May 2008. The complex is located in a quieter part of Corralejo within a few minutes walk of the El Campanario Shopping centre and the Baku Complex. You are only a 15 minute stroll away from the main avenue through Corralejo. Here you will find plenty of bars, shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. The road also leads down to the harbour where you can sit and take in the views with a drink or take a boat trip over to the island of Los Lobos or take a 15 minute ferry ride across to neighbouring Lanzarote. There is a bus stop a couple of moments away, the buses are regular and very cheap making this a great base from which to see more of the island. The nearest beach is a mere 10 minutes away and with Corralejo surrounded by miles of golden Saharan sand in the Las Dunas National Park you should be able to find that secluded beach you always dreamed of. The beaches in Corralejo are covered in white sand and stretch way beyond the town. You will find surf and diving schools dotted along and some beaches have bars where you can eat your lunch with your feet in the sand.


Corralejo is the largest resort on the island and is a 30 minute drive from the airport. On the drive up you will pass through the Las Dunas National Park, you can’t help but be amazed by the miles of golden sands. This area is popular with sun bathers and water sport fans and you will see the kite surfers from the road.

Within Corralejo you will find the Baku Park which is home to a large mini golf, the Animal Experience where you can swim with a Sealion, Water Park and the twice weekly market where you can buy local crafts, African Art and some really nice jewellery.

There are a wide variety of bars and restaurants in Corralejo catering to all tastes including tapas, seafood, Chinese, Indian, steak or even fish and chips! There are plenty of bars offering entertainment including live music, magicians, bird shows, quizzes and bingo.

There are some good shops in Corralejo offering local crafts, sports wear and jewellery. The El Campanario Shopping centre is a five minute walk from Las Dunas and is a really nice way to spend an hour or so. It is looks like a traditional Spanish village and is home to a variety of shops and bars. On a Sunday morning there is a small market with stalls selling crafts, home made cakes and local delicacies. For serious shoppers a trip to Las Rotundas in Puerto del Rosario is a must as this is home to a number of shops including C&A and Zara.

The original jetty can still be found towards the harbour and is a popular spot for fishing with locals and tourists alike. Visit the fresh fish counter in the Eurospar near the bus station as the shell fish apparently make the best bait. Los Pescaditos nearby hires out fishing rods if you fancy giving it a go (and for the ladies it serves a lovely glass of wine or a good pint!)

The bedroom has twin beds with room underneath for your suitcases so you do not have to leave them in your way or have to lift them on to the top of the wardrobe.

The wardrobe is large and has plenty of hanging and shelf space for all of your belongings. It has sliding doors one of which is a full length mirror.

I have also included a hairdryer for you to use, saving space in your suitcase. There is a Digital Safe provided free of charge. There is also a multi plug and plug adaptors allowing you to charge your mobile phone, camera, MP3 player etc.

The bathroom is light and airy and has shower with glass screen, bidet, WC, sink and a large mirror. There is a power point for shaving. Bath and hand towels are provided for you.

The kitchen has wooden units and is well equipped with fridge, combination microwave, electric 2 ring hob, toaster, kettle, coffee filter jug, sandwich toaster and plenty of crockery, pans and cooking equipment.

I have even included plastic cups, plastic wine glasses and a cool bag for you to take down to the pool area. The breakfast bar and stools allows for indoor dining should you prefer.

There is also a washing machine and you will find an airer and pegs outside in the covered area of the balcony.

The lounge area over looks the balcony and here you will find the large sofa which opens out to a full sized double bed, providing sleeping for a further 2 guests. The sideboard gives you with additional storage and in here you will find a selection of games suitable for all ages, a small selection of books and DVDs and universal MP3 Speakers.

There is a flat screen television which currently shows some English Channels and a DVD player which will also play CDs.

I have also included a comprehensive Information Folder which gives you further details of the resort, places to visit, a list of trips that can be booked, details of bars and restaurants and pages for you to leave your suggestions for future guests.

The balcony is large and attracts the sun at various parts of the day depending on the season, it overlooks the garden areas and the table and chairs with cushions make it a perfect spot to sit and relax. There is a variety of birdlife in the complex, the Collared Doves nest in the tree nearby and a Hoopoe has been spotted in the gardens below.

There is a covered area providing shade and under here you will find the clothes airer and some cleaning equipment.

The apartment will be cleaned prior to your stay and weekly thereafter. Bedlinen, bath, hand and tea towels are included all you need to bring is your beach towel.

You will be greeted at the complex by my English representatives who will show you to the apartment and hand over the keys.

225 - 250 EUR /week
Rates details: A non refundable £60 deposit along with a completed Booking Form is required to secure your booking. The balance plus a refundable £60 security deposit is due 6 weeks prior to your holiday. This is refunded within 2 weeks of your return following a satisfactory report.

The price is for the apartment per week.

There are no hidden extras this includes bed linen, hand, bath and tea towels, cleaning prior to and following your stay, a mid clean for stays of over one week.

Payment can be made via Sterling Cheque, Sterling or Euro bank transfer or via Paypal (incurs a 2.5% surcharge) I have no facility for accepting payment on arrival.
