Just blocks from heart of town and several full service spas, and Berkeley Springs State Park with swimming pool, roman baths, spa and
concert gazebo. A variety of restaurants: fast food, diners coffee house, All-American, various ethnic cusine, fine and upscale dining. Music and entertainment at some restaurants and shops. Enjoy the various antique, gift and artist studios, galleries and shops. Farmers market on Sundays and Thursdays Apr-Nov. Movie theater in town.
Nearby are a Mini-golf course, a Fitness Center with indoor Pool open to the public where you can purchase day passes and a Curves. Saturdays in the summer there are free concerts held at the Concert Gazebo in Berkeley Springs State Park.
Triple "B" Arena in Berkeley Springs has concerts Championship Bull Riding, Rodeos, Team Roping, Barrel Racing.
Near Cacapon State Park which is outdoor central. You can play golf on an outstanding 18-hole public golf course there -- and stay for lunch, the food is reputed to be excellent at the pro shop. The lake with its sand beach and concession stand is open for swimming and paddle boating, there are multiple game courts, and all the hiking trails you could want. You can drive to the overlook on the east side of the mountain in the park and from there spend the afternoon on a flat, easy 12-mile road along the top of Cacapon Mountain.
A more challenging hiking trail is Tuscarora. You can access the trail at Spruce Pine Hollow Park on SR9 east oft own. Don't let an initial mile or so through a subdivision dissuade you -- it becomes a long, steep climb up Sleepy Creek Mountain and eventually leads to the 200 acre lake. An easier trail is along the C&O Canal towpath. If you want to walk the Paw Paw Tunnel, you get a spectacular drive west in the bargain -- it's probably too far to walk but a solid bike ride.
In the winter months for ski lovers, we are about a 40-minute drive to White Tail and other ski locations. Also downhill and cross-country skiing and snow tubing are nearby.
