Property description
Camp Watanda is a retired resident camp renovated for family enjoyment. Camp Watanda is located 2 1/2 miles outside of Nevada City and 5 miles from grocery stores and other services. This 38 acre property sits on beautiful Lake Vera, a small quiet lake whose use is share by 3 other working summer camps. The property includes a fully furnished cabin, 4 camping kiosks and fully furnished lodge with commercial kitchen. Depending on your group size, the cabin can be rented (6), the lodge (12) can be rented or the entire site (48). The site contains a large camp fire, picnic area and stage on the water front. We also include 6 canoes and life jackets, use of life jackets are required for boating. The property is perfect for day use, company picnics, weddings, or families who camp together. The kids get the camp experience, while mom still gets a bed and decent kitchen.

Lake Vera's dam is opened from Mid October to Mid April. No fishing license is required. Lake levels begin to drop towards the end of summer. Lake use is share by 3 other working camps, there will be background noise of happy campers. Consider this a joyful noise! Lodge and cabin have working bathrooms (1 each). Bath house is located nearby and has 3 toilets and 3 showers.
