Additional information
Only 9 km. from the picturesque village of Sneem which means "knot" (a knot in the Ring of Kerry) a thriving community with shops, pubs and restaurants. This is a home for artists with plenty of galleries, a sculpture park, Garden of the Senses (a beautiful landscaped garden), an ancient Irish Fort and only 5 minutes drive from the white sandy beach of Caherdaniel.
There are however a number of smaller beaches between the house and Derrynane Strand including one called Carrolls Cove which has a restaurant and bar on the beach and often has live music sessions in the evening.
Dont forget to tour the famous Ring of Kerry with magnificent sea and mountain scenery and its abounds with archaeological and historical sites. The bustling town of Kenmare is only 25 minutes drive, which has plenty shops, pubs and restaurants too.
For those interested there are golf courses in Parknasilla 12 hole (Sneem) and Kenmare.
