Property description

After a busy day of sightseeing in our lovely harbour city of Sydney, come back to the peace and tranquillity of Ambleside, a lovely family home (c. 1917). Guests appreciate the warm and friendly atmosphere which makes it very much their home away from home. Situated in the garden suburb of Bardwell Park, it is surrounded by trees and gardens.

Guests self-cater in the comfortable two-bedroom apartment on the 1st floor. The apartment suite of rooms is very spacious, with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. It contains two good-sized, attractive bedrooms (1 queen, 1 twin) which overlook the garden and in-ground pool. Special extras are provided for stays of 3 days or more: a bottle of Australian wine and welcome morning/afternoon tea plus a complimentary breakfast on the first morning. The apartment for self-cater comfortably accommodates one party of up to four people. An additional large twin bedroom can be added so there is the possibility of accommodating an extra two people by arrangement (charge). Well behaved children are welcome. There is a spacious lounge/dining room plus a sunny eat-in kitchen equipped with oven and cooktop, microwave, electric frypan, toaster, electric jug, cooking and eating utensils, crockery , iron and ironing board. Linen and towels are supplied, and changed weekly. There is also a weekly clean. The bathroom is equipped with bath, shower recess and toilet. Starter packs of bathroom and kitchen necessities are provided. The owners live on the ground floor and are always available to provide advice or information. There is easy and convenient travel by direct train to the Sydney CBD, Harbour Bridge, Opera House. For guests who have a car, there is ample street parking outside the house.
