Property description
Tucked away down a narrow lane the road ends and you enter a secret garden with no immediate neighbours. In front of you is the old farm house, still in need of some renovation but nestled in the gardens, with orange groves behind it and pergolas with vines in front of it sits an ideal holiday cottage.
The sitting room, with a sofa bed for two, is lit with windows that look across the pool and the garden. The bedroom with double bed has patio windows which open onto a large terrace with table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining, which in turns spills out under the vines which are carpeted with grass.
The pool is just the right size for a turn or two in the evening to keep fit or for all day fun if you have nothing but splashing and keeping cool in mind.
There is a paved area to lounge on and lawns to loll about on. There are no visible neighbours that overlook the cottage and the farm house but you can hear the goat bells as they come and go in the morning and evening from the village.
Note that we use a minimum of chemicals in the pool, and although we monitor the quality of the water closely, it may sometimes appear cloudy. But we prefer this to an excess of chlorine!
Please note that that this is a strictly no smoking cottage.

Additional information
This charming cottage is in a small traditional village in the bay of Argolida. The sound of goat bells drift from the surrounding fields and the village square boast two cafes bursting with local farmers, satisfied that their sons have safely taken over the day to day running of the orange and olives groves. It is the unspoilt, traditional side of Greece. 5 km away is the old town of Nafplion with its narrow streets, marble paved square and choice of tavernas along the sea front. This ancient capital of Greece has something of interesting from the top of the hill top castle of Palamidi down to the island fort (Bourtzi) in the bay. Within a short drive from the cottage is the blue flag awarded bay of Carathona, the famous ancient palace of Mycenae , the great walls of Tiryns, the ancient amphitheatre of Epidavros, an unusual cave church, an ancient Greek pyramid (!), kite surfing school, pony and carriage rides, cliff edge walks, street markets, cafes, curiosity shops.
