The apt is very well serviced with transports as well: 3 Metros surround it; all at a 3 minute walk's distance. From it's location, you are quickly at Chatelet, Strasbourg St Denis, Gare du Nord, Le Marais, The Seine river, Beaubourg, etc..
The 2nd arrondissement is the heart of Paris's fashion industry in the sense that it has allways traditionaly been the place where all the young fashion designers have their workshops and wholesale stores. It's very much a bee-hive (in the good sense of the word) in the day until 5pm, then it's extremely quite.
