Property description
This beautiful characteristic house, built in the local stone, with it’s own shaded courtyard garden, is set in the small village of Viddalba. Situated in the magnificent area of Gallura in the North of Sardinia.
The house, which has been lovingly restored to retain the original characteristics whilst giving all the comforts, consists of large kitchen/dining room with all facilities for cooking, separate lounge with sofabed. Large master double bedroom, with antique Sardinian bed, 2nd bedroom with twin beds, and a bathroom with all conveniences. There is a washing machine and laundry area, with sink for rinsing costumes after beach, and a T.V. in the living room The house has its own large courtyard garden at the back with a table under the shaded pergola for eating "al fresco", and a couple of sun loungers, the garden is planted with all the usual herbs for your use, and has a barbeque.

There is a compulsory charge of €20 per person to cover water, gas, electricity and linen. Linen and bathroom towels are changed weekly. The house will be cleaned before your arrival, please leave it as you find it.

Situated in the magnificent area of Gallura in the North of Sardinia, within easy driving distance of the many and varied coves, bays and white sand beaches of the crystal clear seas of both “Costa Paradiso” and “Costa Smeralda” you will find locals selling freshly grown fruit and vegetables, local cheeses, wine and fresh fish along the coast road. The house is less than 10 minutes from the fabulous long white sand beach of Baia Della Mimosa, where there are several bars, and of course the wonderful clear turquoise sea. In the villages you will find all facilities for shopping, including supermarkets, grocers, bakers, butchers (local organic meat), chemist, post offices and banks, as well as various cafés and bars, pizzerias and restaurants. There are many other restaurants and pizzerias in the other local villages, as well as in the local seaside town of Valledoria (10 minutes).
There are lots of local festivals and all are invited, the Gallurese are known for their warm hospitality. Above all in Sardinia you will find tranquillity with its miles of unspoilt coastline and countryside, it remains one of the few beautiful "undiscovered" holiday islands left in Europe and only 2 hours from the U.K. (see below).
