Avalon Cottage was purpose built in 2004 and offers quality accommodation for visitors to Historic Yungaburra and the surrounding areas. Situated nearby is Lake Tinaroo which has a shore line in excess of 200k and is famous for its world record breaking Barramundi (no closed season). The lake is also a popular water sport and skiing venue with the boat ramp located a short walk away.
Avalon Cottage provides spacious self contained accommodation for up to four persons in two bedrooms one with queen bed and the other with twin king single beds. The open plan lounge/dining area provides comfortable seating with TV, DVD, CD and a wood burning fire for your comfort in the cooler winter evenings. The bathroom also contains a twin spa bath with heat pump to soothe those tired limbs. There is a large fully equipped kitchen for guests when not taking advantage of the award winning restaurants in the Village centre within easy walking distance. Alternatively light up the barbecue on the private enclosed rear patio with views to the seven sisters, and watch the sun go down.
At the front of the cottage the full length Verandah takes in the beautiful views of the lake and surrounding hills. This is also an ideal place to watch the sunrise or observe the many species of native birds that frequent the gardens.
