I am writing to express my extreme disappointment in the behavior of the owner of the above property.
I first contacted Jude Erisnor in January 2007 as I was planning a special 80th birthday trip to Baltimore for my mother-in-law. Following several information emails back and forth, I agreed to rent The Baltimore House from March 28-April 5, 2008 and Jude said she would send a lease agreement when 2008 pricing was available – she thought about October of 2007.
I emailed Jude in August and early September as I was going to New York in September and it would have been convenient for me to have sent the deposit to her whilst I was there. However, I received no reply.
In November, I called her (an international call!) and she said everything was fine, but they were a bit behind with the pricing and lease agreement for this year. She said she would contact me in January.
As I still hadn’t heard anything by the third week in January, I emailed her a couple of times and got no reply, so phoned her again. She said she was about to email me the lease agreement. However, after 10 days I had still heard nothing and was forced to find alternative accommodation as our departure date is now only 6 weeks away.
As I said in my last email to Jude, if there was a problem with letting the property, she only had to tell me. Instead of which, I have wasted time emailing her and money phoning her, all to no avail. Fortunately, I have been able to find alternative accommodation, but I might well not have done as it is the Easter vacation. |
